This 45 minute class will get you moving without having to get up and down from the floor! It will incorporate strength and mobility exercise from both seated and standing positions. It will include upper and lower body strength, balance and core work! All you need is a chair (a kitchen chair works great!); light weights may also be incorporated if you have them (cans, water bottles etc work well too!)

This 30 minute class will provide an opportunity to practice the Tai Chi Forms taught at Zoomers that are known to be safe for arthritis and helpful for balance. This class is best for those that have already completed the Intro Tai Chi Class but is open to anyone.
Increase your full body strength and agility. This class will require getting up and down off the floor. Limited to 7 participants to allow physical distancing. If public health guidelines mandate suspension of this class, it will be transitioned immediately to virtual for the remainder of the session.

Good Life with osteoArthritis in Denmark (GLA:D) is an education and targeted neuromuscular exercise program developed in Denmark for hip and knee osteoarthritis. The program includes 12 exercise sessions and 2 education sessions provided over a 6-week period. Prior to beginning this program, you must also do a physiotherapy GLA:D intake assessment with Laura to determine your starting point for the exercise program. If public health guidelines mandate suspension of this class, it will be transitioned immediately to virtual for the remainder of the session.

We have set up all of our virtual classes as “Drop-Ins”, there is no multi-week commitment required.
Tech: You will need to connect to the internet through a laptop/tablet/phone that has a camera. Laptops are probably easiest for positioning but whatever you have will work!
Props: You will receive class-specific information for useful tools to have at hand; you will be able to participate without any specific exercise equipment.
After you attend a class, we will email you an invoice with the details. Payment via e-transfer works best and we are set up for auto deposit (no password required!) – we can talk you through it or find an alternative plan if need be!
