Trish enjoys treating clients of all ages with a variety of orthopedic issues including strength, balance, and mobility problems. Her post graduate studies have focused on orthopedics and sports medicine; this has included education in joint mobilizations and acupuncture as well as specific training in Canada and the USA for treatment of the shoulder, hip, and knee.
Trish has a particular interest in the treatment of dizziness and balance. After extensive training through the Emory University in Atlanta, she completed her Vestibular Rehabilitation Clinical Specialty with the American Physical Therapy Association in March 2013.
Trish graduated from Acadia University and then the Dalhousie School of Physiotherapy in 1985. She worked in Ottawa, Toronto, and New Zealand before returning to Halifax in 1989. Trish has worked at the former VG, and Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre, on the services of rheumatology, inpatient and outpatient orthopaedics and sports medicine. With the hospital mergers in 1996 she became a Clinical Manager in charge of Outpatient and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy services. In a desire to return to direct patient care, Trish opened and operated Performance Physiotherapy from 2000 until 2018.
